War and Poetry  Competition

To celebrate the 2017 Coventry Peace Festival, Positive Images have organised the 2nd Annual Peace Festival Poetry Competition.
Following the successful 2016 Poetry and Prose competition adults and children are invited to enter this year’s competition, during October on the subject of War and Peace and have their poems published (see below).
The judging panel will be led by Coventry poet, Emilie Lauren Jones,the 2016 competition winner and two members from the Positive
Images Festival committee.
Also, there will be an opportunity for entrants to read their poems at a special Peace Festival celebratory event at the Hope Centre, Hillfields on Saturday 11th November.
The decision of the judging panel will be final.

Adult: (over 16 years)
Children and Young People: (10 years to 15 years)
Prizes will be awarded to the winners and runners up in each ategory.
£50 for adult winner and £25 for the runner up. £30 for winners of the children categories and £15 for the runners up.
Winners and runners up and selected entries will appear in a competition booklet and in the Chatterbox magazine.
Competition Dates
Sunday 1st October to Sunday 22nd October.
Entry Requirements
Length: Up to 250 words.
Maximum of 3 entries per person.

All entries will be acknowledged and winners and runners will be notified by Friday 3rd November.
