This year’s poetry competition is a celebration of heroines and heroes across the globe who quietly do great things. Maybe there are people in your community who deserve to be recognised? Perhaps it’s a friend or even a complete stranger? Whoever they are, we want to hear about them!
Enter the FREE Positive Images Peace Festival Poetry Competition and win a prize for the best poem on the topic “Unsung Heroines/Heroes”
Category: 16 Years and over
Prizes: Winner: £100 Runner Up £50 Highly Commended £30
Competition Dates
Entries must be submitted between the 1st October and the 31st October 2022
Poem Length: No more than 40 lines (excluding title and line breaks).
Maximum number of entries: Three per person
Format: All entries must be submitted as Word documents and emailed to [email protected]
All entrants will have the opportunity to read one of their entries at the Positive Peace Festival Awards, which will take place on Saturday19th November 2022 at Methodist Central Hall, Coventry City Centre, CV1 2HA
All poems entered will appear on the Positive Images Festival website and the best poems, in the opinion of the judging panel, will be published in Chatterbox Magazine. All poems entered will be available for selection in the FREE
The deadline for entry to the Competition will be 5pm Monday 31st October 2022
All entries submitted must be as word documents. No other formats will be acceptable.

Free booklets will be available to all entrants
The Judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
