Memories from the Islands exhibition

The photographs in this exhibition form part of a collection commissioned by the Ministry of Information during the 1950s and 1960s to illustrate the geography and way of life in the Caribbean. It features archive images from across the islands including Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad.

“Letters Past and Present” Display

In the age of texting and e-mailing, have we lost the art of writing to each other? Remember when you waited for the postman to hear news from your friends and families? Come along and see a display of letters past and present and have the chance at our other events to write a letter of your own.

Butterfly exhibition
14 July to 25 July

Central Library,   Smithford Way, Coventry, CV1 1FY 
The exhibition will feature information about  the Butterfly Project and examples of recycled butterflies  submitted  by schools. It will also include samples of the butterfly collage made up of  2000 butterflies. The  actual collage is 3m x 2m and will be exhibited at Holy Trinity Church in autumn. It has been entered for the Guinness Book of Records.
