Sunday 21st June- Coventry Industrial History Trail Walk from 2.00 – 4.30pm
This is a roughly circular walk, mainly in the city centre but including the canal basin and a number of other locations connected with some of Coventry’s craftsmen, designers and manufacturers. We start from just inside Coventry Leisure Centre, Fairfax Street, Coventry CV1 5RY and finish at The Herbert Art Gallery and Museum, Jordan Well, Coventry CV1 5QP
Monday 29th June – Coventry Faith Trail Walk from 10.30am – 12.30pm
Explore the religious history of Coventry from the Middle Ages to the present, visiting Christian, Hindu, Muslim and Sikh places of worship. Women need to bring a scarf
and men need to use a head covering (provided by the entrance) in the Gurdwara. Footwear that’s easy to slip on and off is advisable. Be prepared for some possible North Indian vegetarian hospitality. We start from just outside (inside if it’s wet) the West door of Holy Trinity Church, Priory Row, Coventry (CV1 5EX) and our walk includes Eagle Street and Harnall Lane West, with information provided about each place of worship en route.
Sunday 5th July 2015 – Literary Walk from 2 – 4pm
Walking this trail, you will discover some of the many connections over the centuries between central Coventry and some very famous writers. We start from just inside Coventry Railway Station (CV1 2GT) and finish at the statue of Lady Godiva in Broadgate (CV1 1NF).
